I have bought a large container of cherries and plan to make a cherry crumble this afternoon, to have after the roast dinner. Summer in London means berries and inspiration for berry-inspired deserts is flowing around my mind.
It has been raining lightly and the streets are wet and glistening. I find the coolness refreshing after the last few days of heat and sticky humidity that tends to cling to your skin. I come from a warm climate, I should be used to the heat but there is no way to cool off in London when it is this hot, and that makes it unbearable for me.
I am in the mood to walk lazily today along tree lined streets and browse bookshops, maybe stop for a juice or coffee. I am in the mood for philosophical conversations and poetry, or possibly an art movie. It is that kind of Sunday.
