“...but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
- 1 Peter 1 vs 15 and 16 (NKJV)
What does it mean to live in a way that is holy?
Something that is holy is dedicated to God. It is considered sacred, blessed. To live in this way means to live in reverence to God. To make one's central focus that of honouring God and to make every action, that of worship.
To wake up grateful for the new day, happy to be alive and go about your day with love in your heart, seeking out goodness and joy.
The day may present its challenges but if we live in a way that is holy, we recognise the sacredness in the quiet, still moments, and that through them we may communicate with God, allowing 'him' to hold the space for us. We are reminded that we are not alone, but rather supported in many unseen ways and can hand over our troubles and recieve comfort and solace at any time.
This is especially to remember during these uncertain times, when our focus tends to be more on surivival and fear.
