My Goddess is the ocean
and I, the water,
am lost in her.
I believe in an all embracing spirituality, one that encompasses all genders and cultures. It is a spirituality that welcomes us home to the divine within and honours our true essence.
I can’t support the concept of a male God, a father figure controlling and punishing us if I step out of line. If we really need to assign a gender to our concept of God, mine is female. She is warm and nurturing, all forgiving and protecting. She gives freely of herself, flows in-tune with her creation - her cycles are nature’s own. She does not seek to possess or control, just to live and witness her essence being lived through us. Her power is in her softness, her vulnerability, her willingness to trust. That is the only God I can worship. The only one I lay my faith in.
